Summary

We had a fine evening at the Prime Rib Grill. The restaurant area was fine, the meal was good, and the service was attentive. But, with so many other good choices close by, I think we'll try something new rather than go back. That said, it still earned a "B" from Biggest Little Weekend, so at least go once and make up your own mind. Summary Review: B

Food

We ordered a filet and prime rib (how could we not?). Both pieces of meat were cooked as ordered, and quite tasty. The side dish was perhaps the best creamed spinach we've ever had! Fresh bread on the table and room-temperature butter started things off nicely. The self-serve salad bar had some non-standard choices as well that made for some nice variety. Although everything was good, it wasn't amazing. That's not said in a negative way, as the meal was enjoyable. Food Review: B

Atmosphere

The Prime Rib Grill is located off the main walkway in the Eldorado. There is a nice entrance, and a few open tables on the sides as you walk back toward the main seating area. There are a variety of tables and booths, and a salad bar in the middle section. The high ceiling and space between the tables give the area an open feel. It is clean and nice as you would expect. Service

We were seated promptly, and our drink orders were taken quickly. The staff attended to our needs without any problem. It did seem a little unusual to have a self-serve salad bar in the middle of a higher-end restaurant. We did not order wine on this trip, so can't speak to the quality of the recommendations. There was nothing wrong with the service, and also nothing outstanding. Service Review: B

Value

We ordered two entrees, and a side of creamed spinach. Usually we order two wines and a dessert, and although both were tempting, we decided to skip it this time. The entrees ranged in price in the 20s, but they included a trip to the salad bar, veggies, and a choice of potato. Prices were reasonable for a Fine Dining restaurant, and the food was good. The amazing value is their 5-6pm Early-Bird special, which gets a petite entree for under $14, 2-for-1 glasses of wine, and 50% off appetizers. Value Review: B+
