Summary

If you're looking for a good steak and seafood restaurant, Roxy is a great choice. It's more expensive than some places, and less expensive than others. But most importantly, the food is good and the atmosphere enjoyable. Thought it's not on our "regular" rotation list, it's a great place to splurge for a special event. Summary Review: B+

Food

In the world of quality and taste, Roxy gets very high marks. The menu is very heavy on the seafood side, but there are several excellent choices for the non-fish eaters as well. A small selection of appetizers and salads is available, and while you may be tempted to skip them due to the entree cost, keep in mind that the portion sizes all around are very small. They are also known for their martini selection, and we recommend you try at least one since they are all quite tasty. Food Review: A-

Atmosphere

The atmosphere is one of the main reasons to dine at Roxy. If you are seated in their "outside" area (meaning outside the restaurant, not really outside), then you'll have a view of the famous El Dorado fountain, as well as the entertainment of people-watching. The attached piano bar/lounge often features local entertainers, and provides a nice background to your dining experience. The main restaurant inside is also very nice. The tables are roomy, and the lighting is appropriate to allow you to see the menu and food, while not being over-bearing to the overall dining experience. Atmosphere Review: A

Service

The service was a little slow the last time we were there (on a Friday night). But the orders were all correct, the food delivered and cooked as specified, and at one point someone who we presumed to be a manager came by not only to check on us but to refill our drinks. Overall, we didn't mind the small wait since we were there to enjoy a leisurely dinner. Roxy is often one of the restaurants available as part of the dinner and show package though, so if you go that route you may want to keep an eye on the time just in case. Service Review: B+

Value

If you plan on dining here, you better bring your wallet. As mentioned before, the portions are quite small, and the price for those is quite large, especially as compared to some of the other places you could choose to dine at within a short distance away. As an example, dinner for 4, including appetizers and drinks, was just under $200 before tip. It was an excellent meal however. And if you don't mind a more limited menu selection, trying Roxy as part of the dinner & show package is a great value. Value Review: B-
