Poker Room

Poker has taken off in the last few years with the televised high-dollar poker games. Typically, the game is Texas Hold 'em, around a large table with 6-12 players and a dealer. This is one of the few games where you're playing against each other and not the House.

Peppermill Reno Poker Room (A-)

The Poker Room at the Peppermill is one of the largest in the region, and appears to have at least 20 tables running. The area is very comfortable, and the chairs and tables are top-notch. There are always several games running, as well as a tournament schedule. They have options to entice the beginner as well as challenge the serious player.

Circus Circus Reno Poker Room (C+)

The Poker Room at Circus is just a small collection of tables near the sportsbook.

Sands Reno Poker Room (D)

The Sands has a small area set aside for a Poker Room. It is just barely large enough for three poker tables, and isn't very fancy. When we were there, two poker tables were sitting in the area adjacent to the Sportsbook and the Pipeline lounge. The chairs were basic banquet chairs, and the area was a big cramped.
