Fine Arts

Several casinos have nice stages and performances, as well as several other places to see something great. We won't even try to keep up with all the concerts, so check each venue. We're still looking for a good link that has all the stuff you'd want to see without the stuff you wouldn't.

The Pioneer Center

The 1500 seat Pioneer Center in downtown Reno is the area's largest public performing arts center. They have a variety of shows, including the Reno Philharmonic, Nevada Opera Association, as well as several Broadway tours. Check out their schedule, and if it coordinates with your trip, enjoy the show! The Pioneer center is located just South of the Truckee River downtown, and is within walking distance.

The Eldorado Showroom

The Eldorado Showroom is also large, seating almost 600 people in a slanted theater-style venue. The Eldorado will bring in traveling shows that stay for varying periods of time. They also have a "locals dinner-and-show package" that is a great value.

The Grand Theatre at the Grand Sierra

This large 1800-seat theater brings many bands and other acts into the region.

Celebrity Showroom at John Ascuaga's Nugget

This 700-seat theater has a wide-range of concerts and shows that go through. Be sure to check the schedule as it changes and updates frequently.

Other shows and showrooms

Several other casinos have nice Ballrooms, that they often convert into concerts and shows. Be aware that these are flat rooms with an elevated stage, and may not be as comfortable or visible as a true theater. These would be shows at the Peppermill, the Atlantis, and most of the others.
